I am bored to the extent that I have nothing left to clean, because I cleaned EVERYTHING (my papers, my files, my books, my clothes, my shoes, my room etc) the week before already. WOE.

On one hand, I'm pretty sure my pure math has AT LEAST improved by a grade, yet on the other hand I'm worried SICK about my Biology let's-memorize-some-fourteen-chapters-for-essay-regurgitation progress. I'm soooo worried for my bio essay component.

SINCE WHEN DID I GET SO INSECURE FOR BIOLOGY ANYWAY.
(since I started getting single-digit scores, no thanks to my investment of concentration elsewhere)

So for the past few days, starting from 12/9 Monday, I've been taking my A Level Prelim Papers.

Yah, I'll always have that face when I think about prelims lol, it was (technically it's "is" because I still have some papers next week) a bad experience. But I think I am at least slightly more prepared than I was for my midyears (keyword: THINK) and that's the important part right? Improving.

There still is a huge amount of stress through... The pressure is really building with each paper we take...
and my hungry belly is not helping me ease that unnerving feeling right now.

But, given this rare 2-day 'break' we have (in which we must, of course, mug), I think I shouldn't be wasting it by repeatedly thinking about how this shit I'm in is getting shittier by the minute (excuse the sharpness), and instead channel all the negative chi into being all wise and knowledgeable (nodding my head and stroking my imaginary beard) and going, "yes, the time has come for me to showcase my inner strength and carry on; the time has come for me to be the resilient strong woman that my teachers have tried very hard to mould me into; the time has come for me to stand on my own and defeat my demons........." *distant wind blows, chilly chilly~~*

It was a fun experience: getting to know the juniors, being comfortable enough to nag at them, getting nagged at, creating a group on FaceBook and subsequently fussing over what to wear together..

Most memorable of all was perhaps waiting for our turn to perform:
Your chest starts to constrict, your breathing begins to betray you. Hands numb, heart pounding... but when you actually step past the backstage curtains, you really feel that much better.

I'm a bit too tired now to actually blog, but I hope I won't forget that feeling.
The overwhelming tension was driving us to the brink of insanity, but somehow, I think we still did good. :)

Celebrated my & Tsun hao's belated birthdays yesterday at Vii's house!

They planned a BBQ but because my voice was so screwed I had very little BBQed food and settled for noodles *good girl*

Unfortunately I talked so much my throat began to hurt anyway xD

But it was fun! I really enjoyed their company. Miss my GESS friends, and the carefree, happy and *slightly* easier times during secondary school.. :) glad I got to spend my sec sch life with these lot of friends I have. Can't imagine life otherwise!! Haha!

Vii got me a cute Starbucks thermoplastic customizable tumbler!!! She filled it with lots of b&w photo printouts (ah~ memories..) and a coloured Polaroid of her and I at her 16th birthday party!!! Love it max! I added stickers xD
Val got a cute Dale cushion and a Chip and Dale kiddy water bottle! HAHAHAHA! Got to hand it to her!!! Dale cushion is mega adorable, it's got a fat head and a small body HEHE (ref to picture above :B)

18th birthday's just passed and gone though.. At 8, I couldn't read the clock and cried because my teacher scolded me for erasing the board (i'm still sore about it).

1st July 2011: END OF MIDYEARS AND TT GIRLS MEETUP/CINYI'S CELEBRATION!!!

Because 30 June was Cinyi's 18th Birthday!!!!

Gosh do I miss these girls :3

Met the girls at 313@Somerset! I was very late, and treated Cinyi to tako while the other four ran to City Hall to buy her present. Why you ask?

According to Jac, Cinyi has been lusting after a guitar ! HEHEHE. Being major awesome as we are, we decided to get her one!!

Unfortunately, we didn't buy it until the day itself xD

When they arrived at Somerset, they wanted to surprise Cinyi! And to do that, I had to be with them! But I was already with Cinyi, HOW TO SURPRISE?? Jac called me and made me say gibberish like "Oh homework hand in on Monday ah?" and "YAH WHY THE TEACHERS SO MAD" and "Ok see you on Monday" (so that Cinyi won't get suspicious) even though she was frantically giving me instructions to meet them at Each A Cup, and there was no school on Monday xDD

HERE IS ME, LYING TO CINYI AND TALKING ABOUT "SCHOOL" OVER THE PHONE AS SHE SNAPS A PIC OF ME! xD

And guess what!

I MANAGED TO SNEAK AWAY TO THE TOILET!

Sweet victory.

But I didn't know where Each A Cup was and dashed up two flights of escalators, afraid that Cinyi will see me sneaking out of the toilet!

Then Jac called and said that Each A Cup was at the same level as the place I was at originally, fml. HAHA! So I ran back down, and saw the four of them approaching Cinyi from behind!! She saw me running towards her and gave me a sulky look (running up two flights of escalators = more than 5 mins) but then! I covered her eyes and Charis plopped the guitar on her lap!! :D :D

But she was too shocked to register it as her's, and ran away from us ._.

We went to nom at GREENHOUSE CAFE!
It was cute, all flowery and quaint, nice lightning and SWING SEATS!!! But the food, meh. Peishan had a club sandwich, as usual. Jac had fish and chips which were HUGE! Cindy and Charis, I can't rmb and Cinyi had cheese-baked something. Gosh, my memory. I'm getting old.

I had spicy meatball pasta! The pasta was good. Well-cooked, tossed in tomato sauce, fragrant and yummy! The meatballs, not so much.

We stumbled upon a very unique shop at Orchard Central! Editor's Market! Very nice concept, very unique! The accessories were laid out on a table, as though someone had just taken them off and threw them (very artistically, mind you) around! Some of the clothes were laid out on hangers on walls, and draped across chairs!! And the shop was huge. I wonder how much it cost them to rent the place from OC. (then again the prices in there are a good estimate)

I remember I once went, "Goh Chok Tong is good, but Tin Pei Ling is horrible!! If I were in Marine Parade, I'll totally vote for Nicole Seah!"

And a lot of other people felt that way too.

But Xiaxue raised a point, about Nicole being the strongest candidate while TPL was the weakest.
In fact, Nicole has this guy called Abdul Salim on her team, and after reading his blog posts and Facebook wall, I think he is EXCEPTIONALLY INCAPABLE.

Not only is his grammar in tatters (which is nothing big), his sarcasm is so thinly-veiled and so disgusting, I feel like I'm reading a snotty-nosed kid whine about how his bar of chocolate is too frigging small. IT INFURIATES ME TO NO END!!!!!!!!!!!!

An extract from his shudder-inducing blog:

PM Lee makes Singapore and Singaporeans proud! He gets to earn such big money while there is still the homeless, the beggars and the needys out there on the streets of Singapore. He gets to earn such big money when our poor is only receiving about $370 per month from the governtment. Our PM earning a lot of money (and I agree, it is a lot) has absolutely NOTHING to do with the poor being poor, nor of them receiving too little help. You want the PM to donate? Easy for you to ask others to donate, have you been donating recently?

Nicole spoke of how PAP's candidates "cannot even see the root of the problem". I'd like to borrow her words a little and wonder why this candidate, this Abdul Salim, who is running to GOVERN THE COUNTRY for the next five years, is not even bothering to look for the root for the problem!

I think it is a pity that PAP put Tin Pei Ling in Goh Chok Tong's GRC team when she apparently isn't ready.
I think it is a pity that NSP put Abdul Salim in Nicole Seah's GRC team when he seems so immature and is lacking in everything from credentials to experience to good ideas.

I know the poor should receive more aid from the government. And of course I hope it happens!! I also don't know who and what Abdul Salim is like. Apparently he is a friendly guy, which is definitely good. But by being so painfully horrible at sarcasm and yet still using it excessively, and by showing us that he has no unique and good solutions to offer, he just doesn't give strike me as one who is able to lead well.

Here is one who could do with taking a leaf out of Nicole's book.

E-learning was pretty good actually. I felt like I actually managed to absorb a great quantity of maths over a single lesson. This I haven't been able to do since graduating from Secondary School.. hence my thrill with today's (or yesterday's) E-learning :)

I still haven't managed to finish ALL the homework I wanted to though :\
What is with homework lists and ensuring that you'll never finish them within your own stipulated deadline? Want to get ahead also cannot!! #dontactlikeyounever !!11!!1

Other than that frustrating fact which has been bugging me since forever, I think everything else is... okay. Been falling asleep less in lectures and tutorials, and actually having enough tutorial material to last the day...

Although those are the basic expectations of a JC1......

AJC Orientation 2011!

3 whole days of madness and excitement! It was a BLAST! OMG.

The JC1s went from "WTF I want to transfer to XYZ JC" during Matriculation to "A! J! C! A! J! C! WOOH! WOOOOOOH!!" during Orientation! Just goes to show how awesome we are xD
HAHA. Nono, just goes to show how awesome this year's batch of J1s are!!

Our little DRACONIANS especially! They won BEST CHEER on their own! Best Cheer = BEST FAMILY! It was the most touching moment EVER because they did the SUPER LONG SUPER AWESOME Draco cheer all by themselves, WITHOUT THEIR OGLs! I think it was the first time they did it on their own.

Even though we didn't manage to be called the "Best Alliance, no matter how much we thought we should have won, I think it is already exhilarating that Draco managed to come out as 1st runner up :D
What made me even more happy was that when Auxo was announced the winner of "Best Alliance", Draco wholeheartedly clapped and cheered for them! SO HAPPY!

Draco, you are the pride and joy of all the DracOGLs, and the Jaguar councillors. In fact, I think everyone was proud that the entire AJC J1 cohort 2011 was so AWESOMEXZXX! :D

I'm chionging homework now.. lagging behind studies.. and I lost my voice, got a sore throat, and my nose is dribbling everywhere.

This was filmed a long time ago, when we (Cinyi and I) first tried to curl our hair :D
It was during one of the 2010 tt girls' gatherings, and because we wanted to get all dolled up for it (which, if you think about it, is kind of pointless, but pointless is cool), we were very late for our gathering xD

Ah, the woes of being fashionably late.

(All the curls disappeared by the time we reached our destination. We forgot the hairspray.)

SO TODAY!!

Cinyi came over to my house! Our second try at curling our hair was MUCH MORE SUCCESSFUL, and Cinyi's ability to style hair has gone up 10-fold!! I now declare Cinyi's salon marketable! >:D

We initially wanted to go to Tiong Plaza to catch YOU AGAIN, but because we looked like we walked right out of the streets of fashionable, fashionable Tokyo, we felt it would be a sad waste.

SO WE WENT TO BUGIS!!

It was still anti-climatic though, because we spent majority of our time at iluma which was severely lacking in the human resource department ._.

It did have very nice toilets though..

Lunch at the fabulous EMPIRE STATE! Chose a cute little red/yellow booth and it was huge and spacious! Not to mention squishy. And judging by how we snapped away with Cinyi's DSLR at EVERYTHING in sight, it looked like we really had just hopped off a plane from fashionable Tokyo. :O

Pasta for us two ladies (snort), then DESSERT! Warm brownie in a pan of hot chocolate and ice cream side! DROOL, PEOPLE! Cause we were; I swear our eyes grew bigger than dollar coins when we saw the still-sizzling pan of sinfulness. It was loveeeeee <3

With stomachs aching and seams bursting, we walked round iluma and found, to our great excitement, A HARRY POTTER SHOWCASE AT (deserted) ILUMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately it was just a room with all the 7 movie posters and a cardboard lampost which pointed to 'Hogsmeade' (the wall), 'Diagon Alley' (the other wall) and some other magical wizarding place which was apparently supposed to be at the opposite wall. Hmm.

Camwhored like mad, and had hell loads of fun imitating the posters there xD

Embarrassingly enough, it was my first time there.

(OH GOD THE BARGAINS I NEED TO GET MYSELF BACK THERE, ARMED WITH LOADS OF $$$$$$)

It was fun!! Unfortunately, Cinyi lost a pretty pair of elegant black heels to this auntie in a neon pink shirt.

By then our feet (well, my feet at least) were ON FIRE!! Well okay, it was aching quite a bit. Back to Bugis Junction, where we found this HUGGGGE mirror outside the BYSI store!

As I stare at the promo timetable, I cannot actually believe that it's over.

Like, 3 weeks ago, I was staring at that long table full of times and dates blutacked on my wall, both wishing that it would come and end sooner, and hoping that it would never come. And now, I'm taking it off the wall. Strange feeling. Promos mark the end of JC1 (sorta) and I cannot believe that I:

1) am over JC1.

Omg what happened to 2010?? Weren't we just feeling foreign a while ago with the fact that when we write our dates, the year part no longer starts with the number zero?

2) am over promotional examinations.

Because wtf, when I did so badly for midyears I was scared batty and nowwww.. now I have no more super hard mathematics/chemistry papers to worry about (just for now).

3) can eat, sleep, bathe and slack properly.

Yah, I'm going to take bubble baths from now on. Seriously, this whole year was hectic.

4) have to worry about PW and A level Chinese now.

So yesterday I did a lot of slacking.. finally watched Bring It On: Fight To The Finish and Hellcats, and I am a very very happy girl :D Cheerleading is aweeeesome. Today I watched Good Luck Charlie, and I am ABSOLUTELY in love with Mia Talerico, the namesake of the show. She's frigging adorable :O

The (Random) Minichip and Minidale Introduction

This is Minichip! :D

I don't really know when his birthday is (when he was made) but I'm going to set his birthday on the 13th of July (guess who's birthday!). He's actually a hand puppet, and he used to be a lot whiter at his face and tummy areas.. but white stuff always turn gray when you hug it too much :O

Anyway, Minichip sleeps all the time. Like when I get ready for school, he sleeps. When I'm having breakfast, he sleeps. When I leave the house, he sleeps. When I'm at school, he's probably sleeping too. Reached home, still sleeping.

But when I feel really alone, or really sad, Minichip's always around :D
He doesn't say much to me (surprise surprise), but I guess he always listens. He doesn't judge me you know!! :O Hehe.

I think Minichip knows me the best (sorry twin :B) and knows all my little secrets... But don't kidnap him for the secrets ah :O

Minichip was given to me by someone really really important to me, and maybe that's why I'm so biased and Minichip became like my favourite little comfort friend at home and knows everything about Cheryl :) Awesome or what!! :D :D

Minidale was super hard to find. I think he was made to be really hard to find. You know, all that rare jewel kind of things? :]

Anyway when I first saw Minidale at Tiong Plaza (SO HARD TO LOCATE), I didn't like how he looked at all! :O Cause I was so used to how Minichip looked like, so Minidale's appearance was like..

WHAT?

I imagined an equally brown chipmunk, with two cute vampire teeth and a red nose (that was supposedly smaller), NO LIDDED EYES, and no hair! (Just like Minichip.)

But after awhile, he suddenly looks too cute to be true.

Seriously.

Stare at the photo of a happy Minidale waving at you, and tell me you don't think he's cute without lying.

HAHA. So yes. I don't know much about Minidale, but apparently, he has a very cool personality, and likes to dao people.

But I don't think so!

I think he likes to sleep just as much as Minichip, and he's very caring even though he looks very sleepy. He likes to eat a lot, but sometimes he's too lazy to move. While Minichip is good at listening, (and so is Minidale), Minidale likes to give random advice that doesn't make sense. Maybe he learnt the "Google-For-Solutions-To-Any-Problem" habit from me :O

Yes, I think that must be Minidale.

He isn't anything like Dale, but he is definitely Minidale.

Even though the trial Angel and Mortal game we're playing in class was supposed to be top secret, I'm guessing half the class already knows each other's angels/mortals ._.

Although, while gossiping about the who's who, I was really very heartened when I saw what some of them have done/are planning to do for their mortals, or even the amount of worry they hold because they don't know what to give/write/do to their mortals. It makes me feel :D :D :D because it means we're trying to look after someone else in class now; even though initially a lot of them were praying that they wouldn't get a mortal they hardly spoke to (a lot of them got a mortal they hardly spoke to), in the end, I still saw them thinking about how best to make their mortal's day.

Made me very happy. So even though this trial run hasn't ended (heck, it hasn't even started), I daresay it is a success :D

I hope 18/10 will be this cute forever :)

Anyway, of course not everything will be so fine and dandy. Promos in 29 days time, and it's scaring the shit out of everyone. After the midyear shock, where almost 70% failed chem and 50% failed maths, everyone is so stressed and worked up about promos and the unforeseeable future.

Yes, I was one of the top scorers for Biology.
But to what extent? It was a B, it was, quite frankly, a very lucky shot. Individually speaking, my script was honestly not very good; there were way too many flaws. My teacher even picked them out.

Yes, I did well for General Paper.
And yes, I will continue working hard for it. I really like my (new) GP teacher. Despite describing herself as sarcastic and cynical, I (and much of the class) cannot help but think that she is simply godsend :) I will do well for GP, I will understand what AQ wants us to do!!!!

GP BASIC - GAME.

Possibly Kpop's youngest girl group ever.

Initially, I was skeptical. I mean, average age of 15, the youngest, Janey, is 12 and still in elementary school, singing about boys, doing pelvic thrusts? Who wouldn't be skeptical?

But their debut stage was honestly superb, and a lot better than idol groups twice their age.

And I realized, it only shows how much work and passion they must have put in to follow their dreams, and be on that stage.

So I tried doing Integration today.

It was a very bad experience. It was horrifying. I couldn't integrate, I didn't know where to put the coefficient of x, I got messed up with simple fractions and I had to ask very retarded, WORRISOME questions.

What happened to my Mathematics?

So I wasn't the brightest in Maths - have never been. I used to fail maths in Primary School, and fail without feeling pain because I was just THAT bad at Mathematics. Secondary School changed things. Secondary School was SUPPOSED to change things.

I met Mr Lim Bun, I met Lisin and Lyn, both whom spurred me to do better for Mathematics, I had 15 - 20 Amaths questions to complete in an hour and another 15 Emaths questions to finish in under an hour, I completed them, I was motivated, I could score 90% in Amaths tests, I could help teach other people Maths, I made Mr Lim proud, I made my mom proud.

It wasn't just about the content of Amaths and Emaths; it isn't just about the difficulty of H2 Maths. It was about being motivated enough to be good in my mathematics.

What happened to all that?

Okay la, honestly I still have Chinese listening comprehension tmr, BUT WHAT THE HECK HEY? :D

Strangely, even though I don't believe I've studied as much as I could and should (not very strict with myself, but that's good... right..?), I still felt tired, sad and depressed. Y'know. The things that come with studying too hard. HAHA.

Admittedly, I slacked too much, delayed too much, and played too much. As a result, I really won't be getting any good grades (not like I have been, since I entered JC). But strangely, I'm much happier when I forgive myself, rather than beat myself up over what I did not do.

Forgiving, after all, comes with:
a) me getting over my slacking-trauma
b) me getting over my shitty results that are due to come

Because of some family issues, I haven't been a very good daughter to my dad.
I don't greet him every morning now.
I don't make coffee for him.
I don't crack lame jokes over dinner and laugh with him.

Instead, I wake up later than him in the mornings.
Instead, I make breakfast for myself.
Instead, I finish dinner as quickly as I can, and retire to my room.

It's between my parents, really.
But it was something which grew onto me involuntarily.

Today, I felt a little sick of maths, so I logged onto Facebook.
A couple of my friends were spazzing out over the World Cup. Curious, I clicked a couple of links and got onto a live streaming site. Cheers of euphoria blasted from my laptop speakers and I was reminded of how I used to watch soccer on TV with my dad when I was young. I had cuddled next to him in his chair, and we watched soccer together, until my mom came in and hollered at me to sleep because it was way past 10PM - my bedtime then.

Feeling slightly detached from my body - or reality, so to speak - I unplugged my laptop and hugged it out of my room, to where my dad was.

He was in front of our desktop computer, checking out random information on Wikipedia.

I'd like to think it was all Singtel's fault.
Their fault for buying over the rights for airing FIFA, their fault for wanting to charge us poor little Starhub viewers an additional $66 to watch the World Cup. I think it was their fault, really, that when I looked at my dad reading up on random information on the net during the World Cup season, an unexplainable wave of sadness hit me.

I placed my laptop on the study table, next to the desktop screen. He looked up at me quizzically, the wrinkles on his face more defined than how I remembered them to be.

"Live streaming," I shuffled the laptop around a little. "You can watch soccer now. It's a little blur, and a little laggy, but it should be okay," I mused.

"Oh."

He smiled at me then, and I felt like I should have bought him that sixty-six dollar football channel instead, not subject him to pixellated (although life-saving) broadcasts.

I smiled back at him, and pulled a chair up beside him.

Then we started watching soccer together.

Since the full track's release, the public's comments have been ranging from "I LOVE IT! LOVE LOVE! *DROOL* SUNGMIN OPPPPAAA!" to "Sounds like Ring Ding Dong!" or "It's just another remake of Sorry Sorry!" and of course, "Are they trying to make it big in India?"

My fangirl self obviously reacts in the most fangirl way, but speaking neutrally, I really do believe it is a good, solid track. And I mostly have all the reasons all thought through.

1) "Sounds like Ring Ding Dong to me..."

Well, I wouldn't blame you. It is composed by Yoo Young Jin after all. And he was, in the first place, the brains behind Ring Ding Dong.

I’d liken this to a writer’s style.

If J.K. Rowling wrote in the style she used in Harry Potter, it’s highly unlikely that her next book would sound like it was written by anyone other than herself. Similarily, if Yoo Young Jin wrote music in his distinctive style, how can you blame him for not only creating hit after colossal hit, but also creating tracks that pulsated in a similar (though not the SAME. There is a difference, people) fashion?

2) “IT’S JUST ANOTHER REMAKE OF SORRY SORRY!”

No, it is not you ignorant listeners.

Just because they decided to let Siwon sing first (then Heechul for Miinah but let’s put that aside now) followed by Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Sungmin does NOT make it a remake.

Neither does repetition make it similar. Would you say Gee is ‘just another remake’ of Nobody?

3) “Are they trying to make it big in India?”

Soooo witty!

I laughed myself silly.

But really though, who wouldn’t want to make it big in India?

Like, helllooooo.

Bollywood is internationally recognized! If they make it big in India… wooah. Just think. They’d have surpassed our DBSK boys! @____@

Seriously speaking though. They did say it was an ‘African-inspired’ song. And personally, I think the beat of the drums (which really sound African, not Indian) are rather endearing. It feels like we’re gonna link arms with our Suju boys and dance in a ring around a big, warm bonfire.

Right. So, in conclusion, I think it is a very good track. The only problem I have with it is that their voices are way too auto-tuned yet AGAIN (what did they do to Kyuhyun’s and Ryeowook’s soothing vocals? Though, robotic voices make them sound hot but HAHA IDK I’ll keep quiet for now xD).

And is it me, or was it kind of… choppy singing? Probably a consequence of auto-tuning the voices so much, but hey, Sorry Sorry was ‘choppy singing’ and look where it landed them :]

ANYWAYYYY. I have my ear candy now, I am verrrry satisfied HAHA. Time to do tutorials and lectures and be a good student! :D :D :D

Don't think I've ever posted about Epik High before.

They were a three-member Korean band, but now they're down to two because one of them , DJ Tukutz had to serve in the army. Tablo is the leader of Epik High, he is the young-ish one with lots of hair (hahaha). Mithra is the one with, um... lesser hair :)

Anyway, they recently released their newest album, Epilogue, somewhere early March this year.

And they're damn good as always :D

In their most recent song, Run, you're taken through the life of this guy (who is daaaaamn cute btw :3 he is, apparently, a member of Infinite, a new Kpop boyband. More eyecandy yumyum!) since he was a baby to his present self and you see what he's been through. I don't want to give spoilers or taint your interpretation of the song, but I'm guessing this guy had a rather good childhood, but then everything started to go downhill from there. And he almost gave up, but he decided to, finally, pick himself up and run. Run towards where, he doesn't know, but he's going to continue running, continue trying.

I woke up today, my goals in mind (see previous post), and I decided that I should try and be happy as I tried to get on top of my game again.

After all, we all thrive off happiness :]

I get very tired too easily these days.. not very good, especially since I can improve that much more.

Anyway, recently TWO events kind of made me found the Cheryl in GESS again :)

Firstly, my GP teacher had told me that my PI was good.

On the surface, it was all, awww, good la, then you get high marks for PW.
But for me, for me that comment was so much more. My english was still there.

When I entered JC, I was so worried because it was one of the better JCs.
And me, I was just another NSK* from another neighbourhood school, one which not many people in the North have heard of. What kind of right, what kind of qualification did I have to show and be proud of the level of English Language and critical thinking skills GESS had inculcated in me? Just another NSK, amid the sea of Elites and scholars from 'Ang-Moh-Speaking' families.

But that day, when my tutor looked at me and said the way I wrote was what she wanted, I saw Ms Chia returning to me my graded Literature O-Level Prelim Paper, smiling and nodding as she told me that my lit essay-writing was finally - finally - back on track.

The second event was when my Bio tutor said my Bio Article Review was one of the better ones in class.

Sure, I didn't top the whole bio-taking cohort (like the awesome Shruthi!! xD) neither did I even get an 'A' for the review, but it was something. It was a reminder, an encouragement.

I remember in Secondary 3, I'd come in second after Lisin Mom for many bio tests, squealing at the A's I had attained and promising myself that I'd work harder do as well as Lisin the next time round.
Somewhere, somehow, as I alighted at Yio Chu Kang MRT Station to go to school everyday instead of getting off at Redhill, I'd lost that part of me who spurred myself on. I'd lost the Cheryl who wanted to take pride in her work and nod in self-approval before going to bed.

So now. Now, I'm going to find her.

I've (hopefully) fought free of that horrible cloud of doom and depression which descended upon me suddenly and ruthlessly in February; it was like breaking the surface of the ocean to take in lungfuls after lungfuls of pure, cold oxygen after struggling so hard against the pressure.

So now I'm going to try and pull myself out of the ocean entirely. I'm going back on land, back to having that spirit which cried Onward! after every strike of disaster, after every taste of sweet victory.

I'm going to try, and even if I fail, life goes on, so I'll move on. With support or own my own, I will move on after failures (which are bound to come) and victories (which might come, provided I work hard enough).

Come on, Cheryl :)

Nuuugh. Looking at this kinda makes my brain fried. Kinda.
I'm okay with speaking up and all, but if I planned a speech, I'm afraid I'd end up not sounding like myself, but like someone who was running for VA Exco. Which I am. But I don't want to be passed of like that. If you know what I mean.

OKAY. I am finally done with touching-up for my GPP. Yay much!!
And by the way, while I think PW is rather painful, I do not agree that it is a terrible process, or anything along those lines. But that's another story for another day :]

AND OMG LA. I didn't do the Atomic Structure tutorial, but for THIS TUTORIAL OF ALL TUTORIALS, my Chem Tutor finished it within the week. WTF MUCH. Time for some solo Atomic Structure training T_____T

And I MUST REMEMBER to think about my speech (NO CORNY LINES WHICH ALL SPEAKERS ARE PRONE TO, GIRL!) during my breaks tomorrow.

had lunch with my sister at Causeway Point. We argue the most when mom's not around, and we also put an effort be bond the most when mom's not around too (sisters are such strange creatures).

That same day, while we went to the bus interchange to get a bus back home, we ran into this man. He was kinda small sized and he spoke REALLY softly. His size was so small, his dark, baggy clothing threatened to engulf his tiny frame. He stood, rather awkwardly and out-of-place, in front of the cheapo bag makeshift store at the interchange. Sis and I didn't notice him (dark clothing, what can I say?) but he made a gesture and said something REALLY softly. R E A L L Y softly.

Sis didn't want to bother. Probably just another one of those annoying salespeople who dressed casually to trick you. She walked off.

I didn't hear him initially (too engrossed with material good) but then I did notice his painfully awkward stance from the corner of my eye. Strangely enough, betraying all my Singaporean inconsiderate-ness and kiasu-ness (THE BUS MIGHT'VE COME AND GONE OH MY GODDDD), I stopped, tilted my head to one side and went, "Sorry? What did you say?"

Apparently, he was a sad foreigner who couldn't find where the stand for bus 962 was.

To add on to this pitiful scene, he was standing right next to the signboard which pointed out which bus was at which terminal.

Sad for him to the maxxxx. I wonder how many people walked past him, brushing off his shy but uncomfortable presence, pretending his sad, lost man didn't exist?

I pointed to the left and accepted his thanks with a smile.

I don't feel restrained or restricted in anyway when I'm talking to those two :D Ironic, isn't it? They're not in my OG, they're not in my class; out of all the people I've met since I entered AJ, they were probably the newest additions to my f-list. Yet I feel most comfortable with them :)

Went to hunt down Marmar/Yumyum during lunch. Had a double whammy cause both were at Ohana. BOTH!!!!! Marmar went crazy trying to see. MY GOD IT WAS DEAD EMBARRASSING!!!!! Had nachos corn chips with Marmar. Uncle, our AJ Idol, saw us spazzing at a corner and gave us the trademark "What are you two doingggggg?" look. HEHE. AND UNCLE CUT HIS HAIR! WTF :{ KEEP IT LONG D: D: D:

VA was kinda fun today :D
Poked Kuan Fei's wire tree and tried to make a miniature one... broke my ceramic gingerbread man's left arm... made it look like it was on purpose... broke the right arm... made Estella fix it... talked about iCandies (HARHAR I IS WITTY!)... insulted Marmar's EC again, because it's so fun... sawed a bit of her gingerbread man's head off... more iCandy spazzing... broke Marmar's gingerbread man in half... ...

Sweet life! One day we will all reflect on it and laugh ^^

It's been long since I felt so completely secondary school, spazzing over stupid things (HEHE :B) and worrying about things that do not spell out to be 'A L E V E L S'. Oh yes, worrying about insignificant things. It felt damn nostalgic! Cliched as this is sounds, I wanted badly to live in that moment forever :D

Alas, life is not that kind.

Packed up with speed like lightning and had our routine ice cream + bread while receiving weird stares from the general public (NO WE ARE NOT PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO STOLE OUR SISTERS' JC UNIFORMS, WE'RE JUST SMALL AND HAPPEN TO REALLY LIKE ICE CREAM OK?). Wore Yumyum's sweater (oversized! ♥ ♥ ♥) and tried to look as glam as possible when taking it off cause I had to wriggle out of the sweater in public LOL. Marmar calls it the "Art Of Removing Sweaters In Public" Aiya that girl is full of random. ♥

TOMORROW IS THURSDAY!!! ~

So I was surfing the net randomly and I stumbled upon Digital Scrapbooking.

It is EVERYTHING I've ever wanted out of scrapbooking, minus the expensive costs and unavoidable cut-and-paste-oops errors!! I feel so excited right now. If ONLY I could install Photoshop into my macbook! Then life would be PERFECT.

1) How to I install Photoshop into my macbook?

2) WHICH VERSION TO INSTALL??

The Photoshop 7 on my desktop computer is a pirated version, sadly. But it works damn well. Unfortunately I can't find the (pirated) installation disc anymore D: And I don't think it'll work on a Mac anyway :|

I didn't like graduation from GESS, because it was just a horribly sick ordeal which made everyone sad.
I didn't like choosing which JC to go to - it just confirmed the fact that the present then was going to become the past, and the future was going to begin.
I didn't like stepping foot into college, because I had to start all over again.

I met new people, met old people, met all sorts of people.
I grew to like where I was, and looked forward to going to school.

Then we all got re-sorted, and everything was new once again. New class, new CCA, new lecture theaters, newer people. I think I got pretty tired after a while, but hey, what could I do?

Smile, get over it, move on.

It still didn't seem quite right. It was good sometimes, but it was just horribly lonely other times. I couldn't relate to anyone, no one could emphatize and what for, anyway? We all had our own problems to handle.

But now, now as I type, I just want to fall asleep and never, ever wake up.
I don't want anything anymore. I don't know what I want anymore.

Move on, because everyone else already has. Everyone else has gone.

Someone tell me what to do, please.
